The Drowned Lands is a highly-acclaimed farm brewery located in Warwick, New York famous for its terroir-driven philosophy (the character and flavor imparted by the environment in which the beer is produced). The brewery crafts exceptional farmhouse ales, IPAs, and lagers that showcase the mineral-rich soils and micro-flora of the Hudson Valley’s Black Dirt region.

About The Drowned Lands Green Yield Hazy IPA

- Style: Unfiltered Hazy IPA – Historically known as an intensely fruit forward beer with a creamy mouthfeel and a mild dank finish.
- ABV: 7.2%
- IBU: 20
- Appearance: Hazy, cloudy orange appearance with a thick creamy head and a lacing that lasts down to the last sip.
- Flavor Profile: Tropical, fruit-forward, juicy, and with a surprisingly slightly dry finish.
- Aroma: Tropical fruits such as mango, honeydew, apricot, and peach.
- Hops: Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra, and New Zealand Cascade.
- Mouthfeel: Soft, pillowy, full of fruit forward flavor and long-lasting finish.
- Food Paring: Buttermilk or Kung Pao chicken, BBQ, and fish and chips.
Overall Impression: This Hazy IPA is absolutely delicious and I wish this beer and The Drowned Land’s core beers were more readily available in my neck of the woods. The pour was milky, most likely due to a grain bill that includes a heavy dose of oats and wheat. Other malts and hops provide a subtle sweetness noticeable in both the front and back-end. All combined you’ll experience a hazy with the right amount of sweetness, and a long-lasting, satisfying finish. This is a refreshing hazy that we will add to our fridge (if and when we can get our hands on another Green Yield).

Community Reviews & Comments
- metter98: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge, a think layer of bubbles covering the surface and thick lacing down the sides of the glass.
- TheBigBoy: Fine & typical Hazy, just not hearty or character to stand out. Drinkable but not one to savor or brag about.
- ttoadee: Milky yellow/gold pour, thin spotty white head. Nose is citrus and tropical. Taste is melon, citrus, stone fruit, light kilned malt, soft oats. Light to medium mouthfeel. Finish is fruity with a nice slap of resiny dankness.
- whitro17: Tropical smell is dank and earthy. Loads of tropical flavors coming thru on the taste. A little grassy too. Berries on the finish with a spice note. Tasty brew from The Drowned Lands.
- defunksta: Drowned Lands Green Yield. More tropical hops and flavors here. Orange, stone fruit, mango. Tropical, smooth, and lean sweet. Lots of flavor here.
- GreezyFizeek: Drowned Lands is pretty darn good at this sort of thing. It’s got a soft, peachy and melon-like fruity hop character, with a pleasantly zesty dank and piney bitterness to it. It definitely leans towards New England style IPA but it has more bitterness than the style sometimes calls for, which I like.
